The athlete behind the medals

About Brody

A champion shaped by family, faith, the outdoors, and the discipline to keep moving forward.

John Brody Malone

Made in the South. Proven on the world stage.

Brody began gymnastics at age three, when his parents needed an outlet for a child who never seemed to stop moving.

Born in Tennessee and raised in Georgia, he grew up balancing gymnastics with the western lifestyle he still loves today. Hunting, fishing, rodeo, and team roping remain part of the life that keeps him grounded outside the gym.

At Stanford University, Brody studied management science and engineering while becoming one of the most decorated gymnasts in the program's history. He won seven individual NCAA titles, contributed to four national team championships, and earned 17 All-America honors.

He married his high school sweetheart, Serena Ortiz, in May 2025.
